The Veil

About
From Church Music magazine 'Speaking of club bangers…- Actually, there is much more going on here than what is apparent on the surface. Though the driving percussion and quick tempo make it seem like a good, solid rock song, it’s actually more a study between chaos and order. The vocal melody and lyrics are simple and rhythmic, as are the bed of strings that poke through the mix. But those are juxtaposed with the frantic, almost unrhythmic elements of the electronics. Together, these pieces hearken back to the discussion that Crowder detailed earlier in the magazine pertaining to Pythagoras and his followers and also, there’s the obvious title similarity to a previous song, or rather, juxtaposition, which could be a sort of signifier. But, then again, maybe it’s just a good rock song...' |
We Are Loved-->
Lyrics
Written by David Crowder ©2009 worshiptogether.com Songs / sixsteps Music (admin. by EMI CMG Publishing) (ASCAP) This is the glow Deep in the soul Oh, when you love, oh, when you love The veil is torn Mystery pours Down from above, down from above Yet we are all damaged, it’s sure And so there is grace Hallelujah, we rejoice What a Savior, what a King Hallelujah, lift your voice To our Savior, to our King Hallelujah, we rejoice What a Savior, what a King Hallelujah, lift your voice To our Savior, to our King Oh please tears stay Where you are made Do not fall, do not fall Something greater Is on the way Just hang on, try to hang on Try to hang on The love of angels Becomes the love of men Oh heavenly light Takes on earth and skin What a Savior, what a King |
