David Crowder
Born November 29, 1971, David Crowder grew up in Texarkana, Texas. David Crowder is the co-founder of University Baptist Church (UBC), where he was the Pastor of Music and Arts, and led worship for 16 years. In 2012, he split up the David Crowder*Band and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in order be closer to Louie Giglio's Passion City Church. Forming a new collective, he began playing bluegrass music, culminating in a blend of the old and the new known as folktronica. Crowder released his first new album, Neon Steeple, in 2014.

Trivia
- While rocking out, Crowder uses a string of rubber bands known as a "rock strap" to keep his glasses on.
- Before moving to Atlanta in 2012, Crowder lived in the former home of Wade Morrison, inventor of Dr. Pepper. There was a barn on the property which the band remodeled into a studio. This studio was used to record A Collision, B Collision, Remedy, and Church Music. The house was on the market for a few years before it finally sold in 2014.
