After months of top-secret meetings over fajitas, barbeque, and “Duck Dynasty,” we’re excited to say we’re now part of the Fair Trade family! You’re thinking, “Hey! Fair Trade. I like coffee. That sounds delicious, Jack!” That would not be a bad thought, but that is not what we’re talking about. Instead, the lovely people at Fair Trade, the record label, and the much less lovely (but loveable nonetheless) people at The Digital Age, (that’s us!), have entered into a magical partnership of music making and distributing. We’re now label pals with the likes of MercyMe, Phil Wickham, The Afters, Hawk Nelson, Derek Webb, and many more! Now you’re thinking “Hey! I like music, Jack! What does this mean for me?” Well, it means that you’ll be seeing and hearing a lot more of The Digital Age, and we’re finally able to let you in on what to expect!
So let’s get down to business! Our new record, lovingly entitled “Evening:Morning,” will release on August 13th. We’ve been hard at work completing the album, and can’t wait for you guys to hear these songs! We’ll let you in on a little secret here…“Evening:Morning” is quasi-conceptual, with the songs laid out in temporal fashion from (you guessed it) evening to morning. While much of the record happens at night, we promise it won’t put you to sleep. We’re night owls, so for us, loud and rowdy music tends to come out at night. Side note: if you’re wondering if there will be a rap song about Bwack (which we’re assuming most of you are), we’re not going to tell.
While we recognize the truth in the old adage “good things come to those who wait,” we couldn’t wait any longer to give you guys a sneak peek at “Evening:Morning,” so we’ve put together a video for one of the tracks entitled “Believe.” Now, this is not just any video, but a video where you have control! This is something that you are going to want to take a seat at a computer to experience, and it may take a bit longer to load than you’re used to, but trust us…it’s worth the wait. IF you want to hear and see only the Bwack doing his thing, you can do that. IF you want to see Jack shred in slow motion, done. The possibilities are endless, and you’re the boss!
