“So what” might the normal, average, everyday fan say. “There are photos going back, like, three years or something already. Why would we want to look at recent pictures when we can go back to the DCLA event of 2000 and see all the guys when they had no style, bad haircuts, and weren’t the least bit professional?” But again, every last one of you most likely falls into the category that says “I want to see pictures from the last couple of months in order to compare their current lack of style, weird haircuts, and lack of professionalism to the events such as DCLA 2000.”
Yeah, so do we. However, there haven’t been pictures from the past couple of months. And I have a couple of theories that you can take home, chew on, bring up in your bible study, and then decide for yourselves which one is the most accurate.
A) We are lazy. While several of us in the band have cameras and are perfectly capable of taking pictures of just about anything we come across, we just have not done it. We are sorry.
B) While we have had a good bit of time off, not much of anything interesting has happened, with the exception of seeing Tommy Shaw and Fred Schneider in the airport. And a few good mullets.
C) Solley dropped his camera, which is the one normally used for website pictures, and we can not seem to come to grips with the fact that its broken.
D) Several of the band members went to see the ‘greatest event in the history of live country and western music” in Dallas. This was a huge concert that filled the 60,000 some odd seats in Texas stadium (the one with the hole in the roof…. you know, so God can watch his favorite team play…), and fans were entertained by the likes of Alan Jackson, George Straight, and Jimmy Buffet. This trifecta of western style and good times excited the band members so much that they could not possibly concentrate on taking pictures of themselves, rather, they were busy committing every line of “cheeseburger in paradise” to memory. Hogan, who had never before seen any manner of country music in a live setting, was later quoted as saying, “wow.”
E) All of the above.
So which is the correct answer? Like I said, you’ll have to decide for yourselves. I will say this: When preparing for the SATs a long time ago, they always said that statistically, when in doubt, you should pick C, as more often than not it will be the most correct. While that served me well in school, if I ever was unsure about that strategy, I went for the “all of the above” option. Just a thought.
Keep checking the site… I’m sure that there will be some photos eventually. At least, I hope there will be
